I have been in touch with representatives from the Virginia State Democratic party. They are very energized, and they know that Virginia is in play. The $50k ad buy from K/E is a definite signal here.
I explained to them that there were several Virginia Kossacks who were itching to give money (based on responses to my previous diaries). There was some concern that donations to the state party would be used for alternative activities - people wanted to know that money they gave would be going to getting John Kerry elected president. I asked about our giving money to try to get ads on the air - would this be possible, and if so how much money would we have to provide. Answer is below the fold.
