Ok, I'm not a rich man.
But I had a really good conversation with a higher-up in the Virginia Democratic Party as I diaried here earlier today.
I honestly don't know the rules regarding what you can do with hard money and soft money in the era of McCain Feingold. But I was told two things - that the State Democratic Party knows it can win. We got Mark Warner, a Democrat, elected in a Republican state in a year when every house of delegates seat was up for grabs too and those votes went overwhelmingly to the Republicans. These guys (and ladies) know how to win.
