“ Wisconsin Is Systematically Failing to Provide the Photo IDs Required to Vote in November”
Per the article — 9% of Registered voters in Wisconsin do not have an ID that would let them vote. The article has comments from DMV workers who either do not understand the law or are being instructed to violate it. This has gone back and forth in the courts, but now that we are less than 6 weeks from the election, the Scott Walker team seems like they will be successful in running out the clock.
Hillary is currently +5 at Real Clear Politics. You know and I know that the rules are targeting populations that are likely to vote Democratic. Take 9% off of Hillary’s support and now Trump is up 4.
Don’t know if anyone is back in court trying to get this fixed. This is very similar to the Texas shenanigans but in a swing state that Hillary really needs to win. Without Wisconsin, Hillary needs to hold Pennsylvania and either Florida and North Carolina, or win Nevada + Iowa (where she is currently way down in the polls and Trump has super-favorable demographics, and our Senate candidate is not doing very well).
